Our team members are trained professionals who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and support for our residents.
We strive to make our village a home for our residents and we do this through embracing our Finnish cultural heritage and fostering a community atmosphere.
The team members at Finlandia Village include registered nurses, enrolled nurses, personal carers, therapy aides, cleaners, cooks, laundry hands, maintenance and grounds staff and administration officers.
We also receive regular assistance from our team of external allied health professionals, including a Finnish doctor who conducts fortnightly visits for our residents.
Two team members are on duty throughout the night and a registered nurse is on call at all times.
Many of our staff are bi-lingual in English and Finnish.
All care staff members have first aid and resuscitation qualifications.
Most care employees have attained a Certificate 3 in Aged Care from a registered training organisation. A comprehensive programme of in-house training is maintained and all staff must undergo professional development in line with our online training program.
